It has been awhile…well it has been 3 years since I have written anything. You could say that I dropped off the face of the Earth with no warning or insight of if or when I would return. When I noticed that I wasn’t blogging, I found myself being a busy mom/wife that was trying to do everything. I was trying to jumpstart my teaching career while being in school (trying to work while being in school), I was trying to be a mom where I could be the person to take my child to her school and activities (trying to be present), all while trying to be a good partner and be there for my husband. My physical and emotional health was declining, again, where I needed therapy, had undergone surgeries, and had to go to multiple appointments.
Needless to say, my head was spinning from the amount of things I was doing/going through that I completely forgot my vision of who I wanted to be. Therefore, I was lost again. My support system was telling me, once again, that I needed to stop, take a breath, and to get myself back in order. So, that’s exactly what I have been doing for the past 3 years. I had to switch therapists, got together with multiple doctors, and tried different medications, but I had finally got to a point where I could see through the fog again. However, when I did have the clarity, my passions of writing, gaming, crafting, and everything that I was doing with Nerd Mom flooded back in.
I missed all of the pouring of creativity, the serene feeling of being myself, and all of you, the community. So, I thought what better timing than now to re-launch everything. I am re-launching the blog, the shop, but I am also adding a gaming channel on YouTube and Twitch. There is Nerd Mom with a Blog, Nerd Mom Creation, and now there is Nerd Mom Gaming. I am so excited to be back and to be able to do what I love and have a passion to do. Here is my comeback and I have no sight of leaving. My hope is for all of you to join me in this next adventure! Thank you so much for all of your support, love, and kindness! I cannot wait to get everything up and running! Until then, I will see you in the next post!
